Here’s how to tell if you have a slab leak:
Do you notice warm or damp spots on your floors? In some cases, slab leaks can affect your hot water lines and produce warm spots on your kitchen or bathroom floors.
Are there noticeable cracks in your home’s foundation? When slab leaks develop, the soil around the pipes will shift farther away from your home’s foundation—resulting in structural damage as the foundation begins to crack or settle.
Are you constantly hearing sounds of running water? This is one of the most common signs of a water leak. It also means your water heater is running continuously to replenish the water, which can lead to higher energy and water bills.
Do you smell mold? Slab leaks can result in mold growth in your floors as well as your walls. If you start to notice musty odors around your home that aren’t caused by your HVAC system, a slab leak might be the problem.
Slab leaks require immediate attention to prevent further damage to your property. Don’t hesitate to contact us for help if you suspect this problem.
Slab Leak Detection and Repair
ACW Service Inc. can help you trace the leak and repair your pipes using a safe and proven approach.
Detecting the Leak
We will first need to look for your underground water lines with a digital pipe locator. This will allow us to trace the path of your water line and determine its depth.
After we have tracked down your pipes, we will move forward with leak detection. We use non-invasive leak detection equipment, which include thermal imaging and acoustic leak detectors.
Repairing the Leak
Slab leak repair can be completed by accessing the pipe directly through jackhammering. We will remove the section of flooring above the leak and replace the affected pipe. This is the most common method of slab leak repair.
However, there are also less invasive approaches. We can reroute your plumbing lines or perform pipe lining solutions.
We always do our best to accommodate your needs. Our experts will discuss which repair method is best for your particular situation after a careful assessment of the affected area.
